Exciting things are happening at Kafé Knud on Friday, November 8th. LGBT+30 invites you again to “Fyraftensøl”. The door opens at 16:00. On the same day, Kafé Knud has invited Michael Nebeling and Bolette Frydendahl Larsen to join us for dinner at 6 pm,
and to share and discuss their newly published book “Aids-krisens Danmarkshistorie” with Kafé Knud’s guests. 1981 AIDS hit Denmark. In the following years, sex became deadly. The free love of the 1970s was replaced by fear, suspicion and condoms. AIDS and death came to characterize sex and love in the 15 years that passed before a treatment arrived that changed the disease from fatal to chronic. The new book The Danish History of the AIDS Crisis tells the multifaceted story. It is a story of grief, pain and death, but also of activism, unity and hope.
At the informal evening at Kafe Knud, the book’s authors will talk about their work on the book and not least the history of AIDS in Denmark. Sign up for dinner at 6 pm:
