SUMMARY:Waleed Zora exhibits at Kafe Knud
DESCRIPTION:Waleed Zora grew up in a small\, poor town in Kuwait.\nHis childhood was tough\, with bullying and lack of fatherly support. \n\nDuring the war in the early 1990s\, the family’s house was destroyed by a bomb and there were dead people everywhere.\n\nWaleed has lived in Denmark since 1993.\nToday he attends the workshop and workplace Maskine Maskine Amager.\nIn addition to painting and drawing\, he also writes poems and short stories.  \n\nFor him\, art is a big part of living a meaningful everyday life.

DESCRIPTION:Dear friend\, \nAre you living with HIV and born outside Denmark – here is a special offer for you: \nThe intension is to share experiences\, to learn and to have a good time\, which will surely improve our quality of life. \nThis time – and in the future – we will meet in Hiv-Danmarks café – Kafé Knud in the middle of the city center. \nThe meeting will take place: \nSunday October 6\, 2024 from 5 pm to 8 pm \nthat \nKafé Knud\, Skindergade 21\, 1159 Copenhagen K.   \nPlease\, do spread the good news about this new group to anyone you know\, who might be interested and could benefit from it. \nAnders Dahl\, anthropologist\, formerly employed by AIDS-Fondet and with decades of experience in the HIV-field in Denmark\, Africa and Asia will lead the group. \nAlso Gertrud Bjørning\, will be present.\nShe is an HIV activist through many years – she was diagnosed HIV positive in 1991 – and she has worked in Africa\, Latin America and Asia extensively.  \nPlease\, let us know if you intend to come\, in order for us to prepare for dinner\, by sending an e-mail to: anders@hiv-danmark.dk before Thursday afternoon\, October 3. \nLooking forward to seeing you. \nAnders Dahl \nHiv-Denmark
